The gro clock is one of our most highly recommended products. Parents have always struggled with children who are early birds and until the gro clock we didn’t have a reliable solution!
The gro clock has an amazing success rate with teaching children to sleep in. Or if they don’t sleep longer, they do learn to stay in bed and not wake up their parents!
How does the gro clock work?
How do you get your children to understand when it’s time to get up?
SIMPLE!! "Stay in bed until you see the sun!"
The Gro-clock uses fun images of the stars and sun to communicate when to go back to sleep and when it’s time to get up.
The Gro-Clock allows parents to choose whether or not to display the digital clock during the usual ‘stars to sun’ countdown. So for older children, they can now start to learn digital time, as well as look for the arrival of the sun!
The Gro-clock also comes with a beautifully illustrated book which helps to encourage children to stay in bed longer, which means more sleep for them and more sleep for you! "No more getting up at 5am!".
It is this combination of the simple glowing images and the bedtime story book which has already made the Gro-Clock incredibly popular in the UK.
What makes the gro clock so awesome?
What age can you introduce the gro clock? And use up to?
We find children can understand the concept of the ’sun rising means get up’ from about 2 years old. Much younger than that and they will likely not understand though they may still enjoy the sun going to sleep and the stars coming out as part of their bedtime routine.
The gro clock can be used with older children, as children all appreciate being able to tell when its morning and the clock is still attractive and not babyish looking.

Gro Clock FAQ:

Our 2yr old son was driving us beyond crazy with his early starts, it did take up to 2 weeks for him to get the idea and now every night we hear him say "stay in bed till the sun" and he does just that! He really likes the book too, insists on reading it every night also :)
The only improvements I could suggest would be battery back up- much easier for travel and a simplified function setting menu (can be a bit tricky when you are already sleep deprived!!) However I do really think its is worth every cent to give us that extra 1-2 hours sleep each morning!

Can't recommend this product highly enough. We purchased for our nearly 3yr old for Xmas just in time for our holiday. Introduced whilst we were away gave us restful sleep in's and he has transitioned at home perfectly too. Each morning we hear him say "'Mummy, Daddy, the sun came up on my alarm clock" which he understands that's when he can get out of bed. The easiest and best sleep tool for toddlers by far! A must have for every parent that values their sleep! Thank you Sleepstore!!!

Wonderful wonderful, I had a few issues in the first few days with it turning itself onto standby but now it seems to be working perfectly and our daughter is not up at an ungodly hour anymore. HIGHLY recommend

The gro clock is amazing!!!! My very stubborn nearly 4 and a half year old daughter had only ever slept through the night a handful of times in her entire life! We have tried pretty much everything (even other sleep trainer clocks!!) to try and get her to stay in her own bed but nothing at all has worked. So as a last resort I bought the gro clock...and in the last week my daughter has spent more nights in her own bed then what she has over the first 4 and half years of her life! The concept of the clock is simple...you can get up when the sun comes up...the book that comes with it helps to reinforce this. And what I like about this clock is that you can see by how many stars are remaining on the night face of the clock how much of the night is left...so that my girl knows whether she has to go back to sleep for a long time or just a little bit...and she knows it is getting closer to the time when the sun comes up and she can get up! Brilliant! We are totally happy with the results we have had from using this product!

The Gro clock is amazing.
It took a couple of weeks but now our little girl stays in bed till the clocks sun is up. And if she wakes in the night she doesnt get up because she knows its still night time by looking at the clock.
Worth every cent!

We bought this to keep our 2 and 4 year olds in bed in the mornings (they share a room). They were waking up and not knowing if it was time to get up. They know they are not allowed up until the sun comes up. It is a fantastic visual clue for little ones who can't read the time. My girls push the buttons to turn off the sun at night when its tiem for lights out; and it has worked a treat. The star glow can be turned off if you don't want a light on during the night. We have it set for one time during the week and another time for weekends - great for sleep-ins. It is quite expensive but worth every cent in my opinion!

Works really well with our 3 year old son (when he chooses to pay attention). Essential as the days gets longer & waking times get earlier!
Good as a night light with the adjustable brightness & power adaptor.
Only downside is that the "child proof lock" is not so child proof...

I started using this clock with my daughter at just 16 months old. She is still in a cot so we don't have issues with her getting out of bed early, but she certainly understands that when the sun goes away it's her bed time, and that I will get her out of her cot when the sun appears. Although she sometimes wakes early she doesn't make a big fuss until the clock changes to the sun. She loves the clock and often points it out as she passes it.

We also have this clock. Purchased it several months back as our middle child (who is 3) would wake up at 5am on the dot no matter what...then came along day light savings! urgh...well this clock worked brillantly and has allowed me an extra 2 1/2 hours of sleep as now she gets up at 7.30 like the rest of us!
