Boba X Adjustable Carrier - Denim Rain
The Boba X has it all! A wonderfully comfortable carrier with all the features you need, but is super simple to use.
Boba Carriers have always been renowned for simplicity and style in their carriers, and the Boba X takes this to a new level.
Boba X can be used from newborn to toddler, making this carrier wonderful value and the only carrier you need up until your child reaches 20kg..
While many carriers need an infant insert or have set positions for different ages, the Boba X uses a sliding adjustment which means you can micro adjust the carrier base to fit perfectly from newborn and beyond.
What makes the Boba X so awesome?
- Micro-adjusts to your little one AND to you!
- Offers knee to knee support for both your fresh newborn and your walking toddler
- Provides the total coverage of a wrap but has the ease of a buckle carrier.
- Regulates in width and height without looping, snapping and rebuilding the carrier
- Allows for quick height modifications for arms out toddler, breastfeeding or sleeping baby neck
- Achieves the optimal seat with one smooth slide and locks in place with a flat press of your hand.
- Grows with your baby! No more trying to fit into three rigid stages of development/adjustments.
- Conforms to

This is actually the best thing I purchased in preparation for my second bub. It's the most comfortable carrier I've ever used, quick to put on (essential when you also have to chase a toddler), and completely adjustable. My husband is sick of me telling him how much I love it...
Awesome Buckle Carrier
By Natasja from Taupo on 30 August 2019
I am loving my new Boba X Ziggurat thanks so much to The Sleep Store. Here are some of the reasons why I love this carrier:
- Adjustable. I love that the base and panel height can be easily adjusted to fit newborn all the way through to toddler.
- Crossable straps. Great to be able to choose to cross the shoulder straps or have them in the H set up.
- Chest strap sliders. It's so easy to slide the chest strap up and down to find the most comfy position (and it makes it easier to do up or unclick when front wearing).
- Handy bag holder clips. Great to be able to keep my bag from falling off my shoulder or to clip on a toy.
- Great shape/design. The carrier fits him really nicely and seems to give great support and a nice supportive shape.
- Handy hood for sun/wind/rain protection and I like that I can remove it easily when I don't need it on.
- Fabric. Feels so smooth and love the pattern.
- Waist buckle. I like being able to adjust the waist buckle both ways so I can centre it on my back (not have it fixed on one side).
- Pocket. So helpful to have a pocket to store my cards in.
- Comfort. The padding and shape of the straps is lovely and it fits so nicely that I can wear it for hours and it feels so comfortable.
I look forward to demo'ing this carrier at each Baby and You course so other mums can see just how awesome this buckle carrier is!
I'm so glad that the Sleep Store Baby-Carrying sell this product. It's a very affordable, comfortable, easy to use carrier that I am so happy to recommend.

I love love love love this carrier, if youâre thinking of buying it do it, you wonât regret it.
Iâve used many carriers with my three kids and in the past have favoured Tula and Ergo so was reluctant to branch out from those brands and almost bought a Tula Free to Grow, Iâm so glad I went with this instead. The ability to adjust pretty much every part of the carrier is amazing and makes it super comfortable for both baby and wearer.
After not sleeping for more than 20 mins in a row the last few days my wee one was asleep within a few minutes of getting in the Boba X for the first time and slept over THREE HOURS!!!
Without a doubt the Boba X is worth every penny.

This carrier is very comfortable for the wearer and the adjustments for bub are easy to make. How nifty is that little shoulder bag keeper clip! Way cool. I have used this carrier with our 4month old (me 5ft 3 and bub 7kg) and my partner with our almost 4 year old (he's 5ft 10 and little Mr 16kg). Honestly it's pretty amazing that one carrier can comfortably function for those ranges! The fabric is soft too.
Exceptional birth to toddler SSC

Can't rate this carrier high enough! We run a library of baby carriers and this is one of our most popular due to its wide ranging adjustability and ease of use. The fact that it looks good and feels great is a bonus too! This carrier also suits larger and taller people and those with a big bust. It feels durable yet very soft, which I also like - certainly not a scratchy canvas like some carriers. I also like the zip in toddler extensions - an awesome feature that makes this carrier truely suitable for use into toddler hood. Highly recommend this :)
Comfortable and versatile

We've been using the Boba X with our 12 month old for the last month and it has been a lifesaver.
This is probably the only carrier that my partner (who is 6'4") and I (5'7") both find super comfortable, and has become our go-to that we never leave home without.
The material is super soft, more like a wrap than some of the stiffer canvas type cotton found on other carriers. The straps are nicely padded - not too bulky but enough so that you don't get any bits digging in anywhere. It has the option to cross the straps at the back for more support however I found I didn't really use this option much as I found it a bit awkward to grab the strap and clip it in, and I liked having the ease of moving our son from front to back carry and vice versa on the go.
The Boba X is also super adjustable. It can seem a little daunting when you first get it out of the box as it has lots of clips and adjusters but it's really straightforward (the instructions are great too) and once you've used it once or twice it's easy. The chest/back clip on zip adjusters is brilliant too - so easy to get it in the right spot. The bag clip on the shoulder is genius.
I'm not sure how the carrier would fit with a tiny newborn, as even on the narrowest setting I don't think our son would have fit in it until he was perhaps 8 weeks old.
Our son is now almost 12kg at 12 months so on the chunky side and tends to wriggle and whinge when facing in in our other carrier, but was happy in the Boba. The combination of the soft fabric and the extra leg padding seems to be a winner. The hood can be a little annoying/bulky for bigger toddlers when it's rolled up in its pocket but that's easily fixed by just unzipping it or taking it off completely.
The addition of toddler width adjusters mean that we will get a lot of wear out of this for at least a couple of years to come too.
Better than Good

I've been using the Boba X for the few last months with 2 of my own children and also as part of the sling library I run. I have to say, I'm really impressed at the ease of adjustability, and the huge range of sizes it fits. My baby, who is now 6 months, fits perfectly and it has easily grown with her. My son has just turned 3 and is typically way too big for most standard carriers. Whilst I wouldn't wear him a lot in this, it was surprisingly comfortable when I did need to, and provided a good deep seat despite it not being knee to knee. And I didn't need a degree in rocket science to adjust it between the 2 kids - it actually took less than a minute.
I myself am short and voluptuous (plus sized), and had minimal uncomfortable diggy spots. Hubby is tall, broad and has a long torso (like a fridge) and also got a great fit. I've also fit this well to petite wearers and almost everything in between. You can get a pretty good fit with some newborns, but it was fairly tricky.
I was just as comfortable with a back carry as a front carry, and it still easily adjusted both ways. The cleverness of the design really shows in this aspect.
The sheer amount of adjustability took a little getting used to, and in truth, the manual could be a little clearer. But once you understand what each strap does, it's actually pretty revolutionary.
My only complaint is that the chest clip slider is really easy to slide, and I found it slipping up often (especially when breastfeeding), so found myself having to tug at them a lot to keep them down at a comfortable level. Not a deal breaker though.
All in all, the Boba X is better than just good - it's an excellent carrier. Well thought out and easily adjustable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

ðð Boba X Review ðð
By Coralie Archer
I have been a long time Boba NZ & Australia fan having reviewed the amazing Boba 4g back when our youngest was only 4 months old. I thought it was such an amazing carrier and so I was excited when the Boba X came out, and even more excited when our sling library won one from The Sleep Store. I decided to give it a good test before we lent it out the first time to ensure that I could tweak it right for our library members. Well, that was my excuse anyway hehe.
My girl is now two years old (roughly 11kgs) and still quite petite. She is only just growing into toddler sized carriers in leg length, but is still too short for toddler carriers like the Beco Toddler. To make sure that I could give it a fair review, I made a mental note to whip out the Boba X when there were younger babies around so that I could test it out, and also to snuggle all of the babies. I tried it on a 2 month old, 3 month old and a chunky 6 month old, as well as our library weighted dolls. I also got my husband to give me feedback on how he found it with our daughter.
So what did we like about the Boba X?
~ My first thought was that it was so pretty! Our library received the Ziggurat Boba X and the colour was just beautiful. It looks even more stunning on!!!
~ It is so comfortable! I can easily wear if for long periods both on my front and back and it feels comfortable for the duration of having our girl up.
~ It is so easy to adjust between wearers. I am 165cm tall and size 10-12 womens clothing and my husband is 185cm and in size Large mens, and this carrier fits us both perfectly.
~ It is also easy to adjust between different sized babies. No doing up domes, rethreading parts of the base of the carrier, and no need to add on extra bits and bobs. The zip on extenders can easily be done on the go.
~ The shoulder straps can tighten two ways making it easy to tighten when on your front as well as on your back.

I love this wrap for carrying my newborn. Easy to follow instructions. Baby loved to snuggle in and sleep tight and close.
Love the Boba X
By Vicki (Up Child Babywearing Consultant) from Dunedin on 7 February 2019
I have been wearing my 3.5yo in a Boba X recently and we both really like it. The panel's a bit short on her and she's not quite knee to knee but she's quite long now and it still holds her in a good position and she tells me it's very comfortable. I really liked the zip in, extenders at the legs to make the seat wider. The Boba X put her nice and high on my back and was very comfortable for me too. The shoulder straps can be crossed or worn backpack style
The base of the Boba X cinches in with velcro along the waistband and the panel can be shortened by shortening the webbing at the top of the panel, allowing infinite adjustments within the smallest and largest carrier settings so it can be adjusted to well fit babies size. I like the way the webbing that shortens the panel, attaches part way down the panel and helps keep the fabric firm across the child's back, rather than creating a pouch.
This is a great carrier that fits children of different sizes well and we are really enjoying using it.

We highly recommend Boba to parents choosing their first baby carrier starting their parenting journey or anyone looking to add another excellent babywearing option for their family.
The Boba Stretchy Wrap is our most recommended stretchy, and we have a large range of stretchy wraps! We love the beautiful quality, 2-way stretch fabric used in the Boba Wrap - it is easy to wrap with, easy for someone to learn to wrap with and beautifully soft for wrapping your precious newborn.
We also highly recommend the Boba 4G Carrier. It offers amazing value and lots of comfort for your carrying journey, as it can be used from newborn to about 3 years. This means one carrier with many ways to use it. The Boba 4G includes a very simple, easy to use infant insert and has 3 different size settings. The Boba 4G can be used on the front and back, with awesome duel adjustable straps. The shoulder straps and waist on the Boba 4G are well padded and comfortable.
With a core range of Boba designs and regular limited editions, you are sure to find a Boba to suit your family.

Boba began its journey much as it continues today: on a great adventure. In 2007, Elizabeth Antunovic and her husband Robert packed up to travel the world with nothing more than their two kids, two suitcases, a few thousand dollars and an idea that was too good to keep waiting. While abroad—traveling through Ireland and the Balkans, spending a month in Egypt and making temporary homes in the Rajasthan desert, the tropics of Karnataka and a rich mingling of other global destinations—Boba began to bud. The couple worked on trains, from hammocks, in adobe huts and under mosquito nets. They answered emails on the shores of the Adriatic, Arabian, Red and Mediterranean Seas. And soon, Robert’s deep-seated entrepreneurism moved Elizabeth’s baby wrap idea from concept into company. On the very day the website launched, Boba made its first sale and the rest, as they say, is history. Today, Boba is still owned and operated under the watchful eyes of both Elizabeth and Robert, but their family has now grown to include a full, extended team of expert exploration enthusiasts.
