How does Mite Guard bedding work?
Rather than simply sitting on top of the mattress like a conventional mattress protector, Mite Guard Mattress Covers completely enclose the mattress.
The covers are made from 100% cotton precision microweave with an average pore size of just 3.5 microns. This tightly controlled weave creates a physical barrier designed to prevent dust mites and their allergens from passing through the fabric.
Strong taped seams, long YKK zips and internal zip flaps help maintain the barrier once the cover is fitted.
Protect mattresses, pillows and duvets
For more comprehensive protection, Mite Guard recommends covering the mattress, pillow and duvet, then placing your usual sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers over the allergen barrier covers.
The current range includes Mite Guard Cot Mattress Covers, Bed Size Mattress Covers, Pillow Covers and Dust Mite Duvet Covers, with a selection of sizes available.
The standard pillow cover measures 70 x 45cm, while duvet covers are available from Single through to NZ King, with custom sizes also available.
