Keep those pesky sneaky moths away from your beloved merino garments with these Babu Red Cedarwood Moth Balls. They are pleasantly scented and are the perfect natural solution to help protect you from moths and ensure that your premium merino stands the test of time.

Merino is a great investment for your family and while we try our hardest to keep our garments safe, these cedarwood balls are an extra helping hand to ensure your loved garments and items are fresh and intact for new family arrivals, turns of the season and heirloom gifting.

Pantry and wardrobe moths are pesky. Finding a natural alternative to pesticides for these two important areas is not (naphthalene based moth balls were banned in NZ in 2014). The use of red cedar in wardrobes is an old housewife cleaning trick, widely utilised today in convenient wooden balls.

Red Cedarwood works as the ideal natural pest repellent due to the oils in the wood which release a refreshing fragrance to keep those hungry moths at bay.

OIL CRYSTALLISATION:

A natural cedarwood process!

You may notice some soft white crystals on your cedar balls, either when they arrive or when they have been in use. Do not worry, this is definitely NOT mould! It's just natural cedarwood oil crystallisation.

These little balls are packed with all-natural oily goodness, keeping bugs at bay and your closet smelling fresh. The crystals are completely safe and simply a sign of the protective oils working their magic. You can easily wipe them away with a dry cloth or pop the balls out in the sun to melt the crystals away.

The balls can be spread out in the closet, drawer, or
storage - however be sure not to put them directly on your clothes as the
natural oils could stain. Alternatively the balls can be kept in the
handy drawstring bag or separated into mesh bags (such as a laundry bag)
– Simply place the bag where you wish to deter moths. Bag/s is not included.

When the fragrance begins to dull, (approx. six months) lightly sand the balls to rejuvenate their repellent effectiveness.

Warning - Red Cedarwood is a 100% natural non-toxic product, however due to
the relatively small size of the individual balls (28mm diameter)
please ensure they are kept safely out of reach of your little ones.
