The award-winning Hippychick Hipseat has been developed to allow adults to carry their children naturally on their hip without the usual strains on the back. Designed to provide comfort and support for both you and your baby.

Specifically designed to address one of the root causes of adult back pain, the seat provides a firm shelf for the child to sit on and supports their increasingly heavy weight from underneath. The Hipseat has a padded seat with a non-slip pad, ensuring your child stays safe and secure while being carried. Your little one’s legs will be safely positioned on either side of the seat, which allows for healthy hip and spine development.

Can I wear the Hipseat if I'm pregnant?

We advise that you wait until baby is here before use as it might be a little snug around your bump.

The Hipseat Digs Into My Hips: Am I Wearing it Right?

Although it’s called the “Hipseat” we actually recommend wearing the baby carrier around your waist, as tight as is comfortable. This will stop the seat slipping down when carrying baby making it much comfier.

I'm curvy - Will the Hipseat fit me?

The Hipseat will fit a waist of approximately 66-114cm.

Can I carry things in the Hipseat?

The actual seat contains a sturdy piece of foam to make it super comfy for your baby so you cannot store things inside.

What age can I use the Hipseat for?

The Hipseat is suitable for children aged between 6 months – 3 years! Or 6 – 20kgs, which ever comes first.

When fitting the Hipseat, it should feel snug and secure, and the belt should be properly fastened before placing the child on the seat. We also recommend wearing the baby carrier around your waist, as opposed to on you hip.
