- Sleep mode is when the night light turns on and automatically turns off one hour later. The light will gradually dim during the last 5 minutes. You can customise the night light colour and brightness. The sound will also turn off after an hour with this setting.
- Wake mode involves a yellow light coming on 30 minutes before your set wake time. The yellow light will start off dim and gradually intensify during the first 5 minutes. The yellow light indicates to the child it is ok to play quietly until the green light turns on. At wake time, the yellow light will change to green, indicating it is now ok to get up and out of bed and automatically turn off 1 hour later. You cannot customise the wake light colour or brightness. The sound does not turn on within wake mode.
- We have noted some customers may be accustomed to the settings of the Gro Clock. As the yellow light does turn on 30 minutes before the set 'wake up' time, we suggest setting your timer to 30 minutes later than intended.

Can you set a specific time to turn the sound on/off?
There is no option to set a specific time. You have 3 auto off options - 45 minutes, 90 minutes and 8 hours. The sound will switch off after your chosen time has past. You can also choose to have the sound play continuously.
Does the Light to Rise make brown, white or pink noise?
All of the above. The Light to Rise includes multiple brown, white and pink noises. There are also various fan sounds, the signature Dohm sound, nature noises, sleep songs/lullabies and baby sounds including a shhhhhh sound, womb sound and heartbeat.
Is there a child lock?
No.
Can I use the sound without the night light and vice versa?
Yes. The sound and nightlight work independently.
Does the light on the clock stay on all the time?
Yes. The light stays on. You can change the brightness level to pick a suitable level of brightness.
Can you switch the clock off?
No. The clock stays on although you can turn the light on the lowest setting.
How does sleep training work with the Light to Rise?
The adjustable multi-coloured night light lets you choose any colour for your child to fall asleep to. In the morning, the light turns yellow when it's ok to play quietly and turns green 30 minutes later when it's ok to get up.
Do I have to set the intermediate wake time (when the light turns yellow)?
No. Simply program your desired bedtime and your desired wake time, and the yellow night light will automatically turn on 30 minutes before your desired wake time.
Is there an alarm with the wake mode?
No.
What is the ideal age range for Light to Rise?
Light to Rise is designed to grow along with your child. Use the sound soother and night light features to nurture your newborn’s sleep, then introduce sleep training features when they are developing their own sleep habits as a toddler.
Can you breastfeed or change a nappy using the nightlight function?
Yes. There are 4 brightness levels. Depending how far you are away from the unit, you will be sure to find a brightness level to suit.
